“Oh yes, I saw the place on the restaurant lookup. It's all good. Pan-fried catfish, red snapper, greens, potato salad, and fried chicken. We visited two days in a row, and tomorrow will be the third before we leave town. We even met some people at our hotel and told them to check it out. We walked in today, and they were finishing up lunch. Rave reviews! And don't leave without having dessert or taking some home. Thank you all. A very blessed establishment. “✨ First visit to Chez Soul ✨. We were visiting from Miami, FL. I love to support black owned businesses. Chez Soul provides the comfort from traditional southern cuisines. Cozy atmosphere. I customized my order with all vegetables ( black eyed peas, collard greens, red beans and rice and Mac n cheese) all without any meat. My companion ordered turkey wings with a side of collards and yams. I think of all the vegetables, the yams were my personal preference. Other veggie items were okay. Glad to find southern cuisine options available on the west coast. I also appreciate the fruit infused water! There is a wide range of desserts readily available including pies, cakes, banana pudding and peach cobbler which we will try upon our return visit. Enjoy!”

“That fried chicken was fried to perfection, the potatoe salad was delicious, the green beans were good, but the Mac and cheese I didnt care for and the coconut pineapple cake I ordered to take home, never left the restaurant. I ate the entire piece. It was so moist and flavorful. Overall, it was good. The wait for them to take our order was very slow and it took over 20 minutes to get our food. Also, 7.50 for each small side is a bit pricey.”

“Came here due to Google reviews. Stood for a while when there’s plenty of empty tables and yet a line awaits. Ordered a couple of main entrées, and after a bite of the delicious fish, decided to immediately order more. But they made us wait till the entire restaurant is served and like almost an hour later, when the place is actually closed and staff are seated! No explanation, no apologies, no compensation for our time. So ridiculous. Crawfish entoufee is WAY too salty(even with rice), chicken ain’t as good as Popeye’s, but their catfish is def legit. I do like the cornbread & mac and cheese too. Will I come back to waste my time and more than $100 for 3 dinner entrees? Never again. I’ll go to Popeyes for 1/4 of the price and efficiency.”
